Critical times in Brain development 

 

What are the stages of development and maturation of the brain? Are there important time points in this process, or is it a continuous sequence? Is everything predetermined, or is permission given, and we can change patterns of brain development in our child? The lecture will deal with what is known today about the stages of brain development in children and adolescents. What can go wrong, and can this be changed by deliberate intervention?
