I found myself on the verge of my dreams becoming a reality!

After months of preparation, gathering scientific data, and attempting to translate complex technical jargon into more accessible language, I finally had the chance to share the groundbreaking advancements in various brain research fields with the general public.

As the hall fell into silence, I knew it was my cue to begin speaking. Though I had meticulously prepared all my materials, I couldn't help but wonder if they would be forgotten in the moments to come. The starting point seemed to elude me...

In those fleeting seconds of silence, I made a decision. I decided it would be best to introduce myself, to break the ice, and allow my thoughts to align in my mind.

"Hello, my name is NItsan Kozlovsky and I am a trained biochemist who, for the past 13 years, has dedicated my work to unraveling the biochemistry of the brain. This includes understanding the intricate processes that occur within brain cells when we think, learn, remember, and even age. However, my primary focus lies in investigating what goes awry in mental illnesses like depression, anxiety, and particularly post-traumatic stress disorders."

Gazing into the audience’s eyes, I could see their curiosity awakened. Encouraged by their interest, I continued with confidence, saying, "Tonight, we will delve into the fascinating world of the brain, exploring its wonders within the context of..."

By the end of the lecture, which proved to be an exhilarating experience for both myself and the audience, several individuals approached me to express their gratitude. They thanked me for delivering an engaging and captivating talk, shedding light on their own challenges and equipping them with new tools for analyzing various situations they encounter.

Overwhelmed with excitement, I looked at them and extended my heartfelt appreciation to both them and the entire audience. I felt immensely grateful for the opportunity to share even a fraction of my passion for brain research.
